Want to import Etsy products to Shopify? Whether you're moving your whole shop or selling on both platforms, you need those listings in Shopify.
Doing it manually is painful. There's a faster way.
Why Etsy Sellers Move to Shopify
- No marketplace fees on each sale
- Your own brand and domain
- Full control over SEO and customer data
- Lots of sellers run both — nothing wrong with that
The Problem with Manual Migration
If you've got more than a handful of products, doing it by hand looks like this:
- Copy each title
- Download all the images one by one
- Rewrite descriptions
- Enter pricing and variants manually
- Upload everything to Shopify
One product? Fine. Twenty products? That's your whole afternoon gone.
What You Need
One thing:
- Cloneify Shopify app — install it from the Shopify App Store
That's it. No Chrome extension needed. Everything happens inside the app.
How to Import Etsy Products to Shopify
Two ways to do it — single product or bulk.
Single Product
- Open the Cloneify app in your Shopify admin
- Paste the Etsy product URL
- Click Clone
- Done — check your Products page to verify
Bulk Import (Multiple Products)
Got a bunch of products to move? Use the Bulk URLs Clone feature:
- Open the Cloneify app in your Shopify admin
- Go to Bulk URLs Clone
- Paste multiple Etsy product URLs — one per line
- Click Clone All
- Cloneify imports them all in one go
This is the fastest way to migrate an entire Etsy shop. Paste 10, 20, 50 URLs — they all get processed.
What Gets Imported
Everything comes over. Here's the breakdown:
- Product title — the full listing title from Etsy
- All images — every photo on the listing, in order. No need to download and re-upload anything.
- Description — the full product description, formatting included
- Pricing — the listed price transfers over. You'll probably want to adjust this for your Shopify margins.
- Variants — sizes, colors, styles, materials. All of them. Each variant keeps its own price and details.
- Product details and specs — weight, dimensions, and any other specs on the listing
Nothing gets lost. Everything lands in Shopify ready for you to review.
If you haven't set up Cloneify yet, install it from the Shopify App Store — the whole import takes about 10 seconds.
Things to Watch Out For
Here's what to keep in mind:
- Etsy descriptions are often keyword-stuffed. Etsy SEO and Shopify SEO work differently. Once products are in Shopify, rewrite descriptions in your own voice. Cleaner copy converts better.
- Image quality varies. Some Etsy listings use lower-res photos. Check how your images look on your Shopify theme — especially on desktop where they display larger.
- Pricing needs a rethink. On Etsy, you're paying marketplace fees on every sale. On Shopify, your costs are different. Adjust your prices to reflect that.
- Tags don't transfer. Etsy tags are specific to Etsy's search. In Shopify, you'll organize products using collections and product tags instead.
Etsy CSV Export vs. Cloneify
Etsy does let you export a CSV file. Sounds convenient. Here's what actually happens:
- The CSV format doesn't match Shopify's format — columns are different
- You'll need to reformat and remap fields manually
- Images don't come with the CSV — you download them separately
- Variants often break during import
- It's a spreadsheet exercise, not a product import
Cloneify skips all of that. Paste your URLs, click Clone, move on. And with bulk import, you can do your entire catalog in one go.
After You Import
Once products are in Shopify, spend a few minutes cleaning things up:
- Rewrite descriptions — make them sound like your brand, not like an Etsy listing
- Set your own prices — factor in Shopify's lower fees and your margins
- Add to collections — organize products into categories your customers can browse
- Check images on your theme — make sure they look sharp and display correctly
- Update SEO fields — Shopify has its own meta title and description fields. Fill them in.
FAQ
Can I import all my Etsy products at once? Yes. Use the Bulk URLs Clone feature — paste multiple Etsy product URLs and Cloneify imports them all in one go.
Will my Etsy images transfer to Shopify? Yes. All product images get imported automatically — in the same order they appear on Etsy.
Does it copy product variants? Yes. Sizes, colors, styles, and other options all come through with their individual prices.
Can I keep selling on Etsy too? Absolutely. Importing to Shopify doesn't touch your Etsy listings. Many sellers run both stores.
How long does each import take? Usually under a minute. Most of the time it's just seconds.
Do I need any coding skills? No. It's a Shopify app. If you can paste a URL and click a button, you can use it.
What if the imported product doesn't look right? You can edit everything in Shopify after import — title, description, images, pricing, variants. The import is a starting point, not the final version.
Is Cloneify free? There is a free tier available. Check pricing here or view it on the Shopify App Store.
